Growing Challenges at the Edge

Edge computing, pre-processing, and edge AI are still young technologies—wherein most data, even as it is created in vast corners of the infrastructure and globe, is still going to need to be moved somewhere (e.g. remote office, edge ingest station, etc.) for processing (even if parts of that data eventually end up back at the core). To stay competitive, organizations must adopt solutions that provide seamless, hyper secure access to data when and where it’s needed. Data needs to be treated as a fluid asset that can be instantly retrieved, analyzed, and acted upon—no matter whether it’s stored in a data center, cloud, or on an edge device.
